AT MATEO Mateo’s design is inspired by the history of the Arts District’s constant change over nearly two centuries: evolving from vineyards to factories, to artist enclave, neighborhood, dining destination, and urban oasis, as well as its reputation for being L.A.’s Creative escape. As envisioned, Mateo will offer more than 30,000 square feet of commercial space, constructed with

sourced used brick and steel, to give the quality of the buildings and aesthetic, both reverential to the relics of its industrial past and a nod to its repurposed future.
